After buying a MonoPrice tilting wall mount for my new Panasonic Viera TH-42PX80U 42-Inch 720p Plasma HDTV, I wanted something a little more subsatntial for my even newer (and heavier) Pioneer PDP-5020FD 50-Inch 1080p KURO Plasma HDTV. While MonoPrice is the low-price leader (the S&H is nearly the cost of the mount!), Erse is only fractionally more expensive, but is of higher quality as well. While the Erse tilts both 15 degrees up and down (as opposed to the MonoPrice which ONLY tilts down 15 degrees - why you would need to tilt the TV UP is beyond me), the tilt mechanism is engineered better and it is lower profile (i.e., sticks out less from the wall) than the MonoPrice. In addition, the Erse is easier to install: the hardware is sealed in individual compartments attached together so that you don't have to sort/search for it and everything fits together perfectly. The Monoprice makes you work for it...after sorting the hardware to see if it was all there, I had to use multiple washers in lieu of the ill-fittring plastic spacers provided and I had to drill out the large fender washers that were supposed to fit the 8mm fasteners that were needed to mount the arms to the Panny PDP.

Bottom Line: Unless you're hurting for the money (if you are, you probably shouldn't be buying large flat screen tv's, LOL!), buy the Erse. Their stuff has the right price/performance ratio. Unlike the Monoprice, you won't have to worry about flexing. In my case, the Panny is lighter (and much less expensive) than the Pio, so the MonoPrice was OK for a Master BR application. With the Pio, I would have worried about hanging a heavy $4k tv on anything less than the Erse. The Erse fits nice, looks good, and hold the tv with no drama. In addition, the money I saved going with Erse over Peerless or any other mount you'll pay multiples for at Best Buy, bought quite a few Blu-ray disks to enjoy on the new Pioneer BDP-51FD BonusView Blu-ray Players.

Highly Recommended!
